  About Trip
Chisapani Trek
is the most demanding short and an adventurous easy trek. This is one of the most beautiful and classic trek which begins 1 hrs drive to east from the Kathmandu valley called Sundarijal and end up to Changu Narayan. The trek is the best suits for those who has limited time, budget, beginner and still prefer to experience the adventure in Nepal and it’s unspoiled beauties. It is perfect way of exploring blended cultural and natural attraction. The dense of jungle walk, terrace, farming, local lifestyle, world heritage sites and massif chain of the Himalayas surroundings are the major attribution of the trek. The trek is equally popular for internal and external tourists.

Chisapani along with Nagarkot are the finest view point for sunrise, sun set and close up view of the Ganesh Himal, langtan himal and everest himalayan range. Nagarkot is situated 32 km East from Kathmandu valley and 2175m from the sea level. While it is situated on top of the strategic hill, Nagarkot was an ancient fort of Kathmandu Valley built to monitor the external activities of other kingdoms. Later it became summer retreat for the Royal family before becoming popular as an international hill station. Additionally the Nagarkot hill is quite popular for a day tour too. Moreover our final destination of UNESCO world heritage site Changu Narayan adds an extra value on the trek. Changu Narayan is known as the second biggest God of Hindu called Bishnu. The most interesting wood carving, metal carving and stone carving temple is made by Pagoda style.

After enjoying the breakfast at the hotel, we drive an hour towards Sundarijal from where we embark on a real hiking. 30 minutes hiking from Sundarijal we encounter Shivapuri National park where we buy a National park entrance permit then continue ahead. As we climb gradually we arrive at the name of a village called Mulkharka where we might have lunch break or some snacks. Then the trail leads through stone paved stairs and an amazing jungle all the way to Chisapani which is known as a stunning viewpoint of sunrise with striking views of Gaurisankar, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa and many more.

  • Day 02:Chisapani to Nagarkot Trek (6–7 hours, 2175 m).
We advise waking up early in the morning to explore sunrise with panoramic Himalayan panoramas and then eat your breakfast with lovely nature since Chisapani is famed for its spectacular view point. As we go through the cool rhododendron forests of Shivapuri National Park, we might halt in Jule for a brief rest. Then we slowly go on, passing several nearby villages and terraced rice fields, till we reach the picturesque mountaintop Nagarkot.

  • Day 03:Nagarkot to Changu Narayan then drive back to Kathmandu.
We hike for four hours in the direction of Changu Narayan Temple after viewing the sunrise with its untouched Himalayan range. The thrilling climb begins with a steady descent through the ridge and offers stunning views of the surrounding villages, people's way of life, temples, Bhaktapur, Sankhu, and the Kathmandu valley. The final section of the trail passes through a pine and rhododendron forest and several lovely picnic areas, which may be the last chance to photograph the panoramic Himalayan views around. Finally, we arrive at Changu Narayan, a famous shrine to the Hindu god Vishnu and one of the UNESCO world heritage sites. After gathering priceless memories, we make our way back to Kathmandu.
