If you are looking for a overwelming trek in Nepal's Lower Everest Region, we've got the trip for you! Join us on this 7-day Pikey Peak trip to one of the Solu Khumbu Region's tallest slopes (4,067m). Get a bird's eye perspective of the Mount Everest (Sagarmatha) and the eastern and central Himalayan mountain ranges. The summit of Pikey leads to the spectacular scenes of mountains such as Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Annapurna, Gaurishankar, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Sishapangma, Thamserku, Mera peak, and others may be seen!

You will also be able to observe the eye-catching sunrise and sunset views in the mountains throughout these days. The trail passes through some of the region's most attractive settlements and small villages.
We will meet in Kathmandu on the first day and then we will go onwards to Dhap Bazaar on the second day. Our adventure begins and ends in Phaplu, and includes stops in Kerung, Pattale, Jhapre, Pikey Peak, Lamajura, and Junbesi.

The Pikey Peak hike is an amazing way to see the Himalayas and the Everest Region away from the crowded groups of people.   • Day 01:  Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap (2932m/9,619ft), Driving Distance  230km (7-8hrs).
     
  • Day 02: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2829m/9,281ft),  Walking Distance:13km (4-5 hrs).
     
  • Day 03: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp (3640m/11,942ft),  Walking Distance:13.7km  (5-6 hrs). 
     
  • Day 04: Hike to Pikey Peak and Trek to Junbensi (2700m/8,858ft),  Walking Distance: 13.2km (5-6 hrs). 
     
  • Day 05: Trek from Junbensi to Phaplu (2469m/2469ft), Walking Distance: 13.26km   5-6 hrs.
     
  • Day 06: Drive from Phaplu to Kathmandu(1300m/4,265ft), Driving  Distance: 126km (6-7 hrs).


 Details Itinerary 

  • Day 01: Kathmandu to Dhap (2932m),6-7 hrs. After breakfast, you will leave Kathmandu and drive to Dhap Bazaar. The driving route follows the Sunkoshi River until Ghurmi. On the way, you will get the opportunity to witness the typical Nepalese countryside lifestyle, forest, rivers, and terraced fields. Driving through numerous settlements, you will finally reach Dhap Bazaar. Here you will Visit the local market and observe the lifestyle of the local and Sherpa people. Overnight at a tea house. Included Dinner and Breakfast.

  • Day 02: Trek from Dhap to Jhapre (2829m), 4-5 hrs. After trekking for about five hours from Kerung, you will arrive at Jhapre. En route to Jhapre you will see wild orchids, stunning landscapes all along the Solu Okhaldhunga border. Here too, you will Explore around monasteries and Buddhist stupa. The cultural performance in Jhapre is worth watching. Overnight at stay at the tea house. After trekking for about six hours from Kerung, you arrive at Jhapre. En route to Jhapre you will see wild orchids, stunning landscapes all along the Solu Okhaldhunga border. Here too, you will visit around monasteries and Buddhist stupa. The cultural performance in Jhapre is worth watching. Overnight stay in teahouse. Included lunch and dinner included.
  • Day 03: Trek from Jhapre to Pikey Peak Base Camp (3640m),5-6 hrs. This is the highest point of the trek and you can see plants and animals only found in the Himalayan region. Also, you will see centuries aged monasteries, mani stones, Buddhist stupas and more. This particular area is also suitable for marathon and mountain bike race. Overnight at a tent, breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

  • Day 04: Hike to Pikey Peak - Trek to Junbensi (2700m), 5-6 hrs. Today we walk down and witness a picturesque landscape. Here, you can see yaks grazing and get a chance to drink fresh and tasty yak milk. We head off to reach Junbesi. On the way we trek up to Pikey Peak where you will witness sunrise view and the Himalayan range from Kanchenjunga to Dhaulagiri as well as Everest. After you pass the Pikey peak you trek down all the way through distinctive landscape to Junbesi valley. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
  • Day 05: Trek from Junbensi to Phaplu (2469m), 5-6 hrs. After visiting Thuptenchholing Monastery and observing typical Tibetan medicinal therapy at Junbesi village, you trek to Phaplu which takes around six hours. Here you can taste tasty local food and drink and participate in Sherpas cultural program. Overnight at Guesthouse, breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

  • Day 06: Drive from Phaply to Kathmandu(1300m), 6-7 hrs. Back to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel, breakfast included.
