Overview

 About Trip
The 'raging river' drains the Annapurna Mountains' northern slope. It was only accessible to rafting in 1996, yet it offers some of Nepal's most thrilling class IV-V whitewater. Both the crew and the guide must give it their all on this river. The rapids are tricky and necessitate a very different technique than the high volume rivers like the Sun Koshi and Karnali. The Marshyangdi swiftly transforms raft crews of complete strangers into actual teamwork, requiring power and a strong line. The Marshyangdi River, located on the Annapurna circuit's eastern side, has long been known for its breathtaking views. The steep-sided gorge walls twist and turn, forming a fresh mountain backdrop.

DETAIL ITINERARY

  • Day 01: Kathmandu - Khudi - Bhulbhule.
Drive to Khudi and then walk to Bulbule via stunning scenery and traditional Nepali villages. All of the gear is unloaded at Khudi, followed by a short climb. Camp is set up at one of the vantage spots from which wonderful views of the Himalaya can be gained after Bhulbhule is reached. The views of the sunset are breathtaking.

  • Day 02:Bulbule - Ngadi - Khudi.
Hike up to Ngadi with the gears to the river point for the river's most knuckle-stretching stretches. So take advantage of the Class 4 rapids that are still running. The expedition leader and guides will give you a safety and paddling briefing and training. Set up camp in Khudi and spend the night there.

  • Day 03: Khudi -Dam.
We float through canyons and are surrounded by lovely green vegetation. We halt for lunch on a beautiful sandy beach after five hours of enjoyment on the rapids and canyons. After lunch, the rafters continue their trip on the Marshyangdi's rushing waters to a camping location near the Middle Marsyangdi Hydro Dam, on one of the most beautiful and comfortable sandy beaches in the area.

  • Day 04: Dam - Paundi –Bimal Nagar.
This day begins with a transfer to Paundi, which is located beyond the Dam. As a result of this concrete structure, the river journey is interrupted, and everything must be carried across to a point further downstream. The next put-in point is at Paundi, where another three hours of rafting begins, with Class 3 rapids.
