 About Trip 
Gokyo Valley is visually attractive  alpine valley in the beautiful Everest Region along with Hydrogical fresh water source Gokyo Lake.This goes with gentle walk to Gokyo Valley takes you through the various Himalayan foothills. This journey takes a different path than the standard Everest Base Camp trek. This beautiful journey is less popular and so ideal for a relaxing trip. Gokyo Valley Trek is the  sponteneous journey in the high himalya which gives you highland natural beauty and 360 panaromic from gokyo ri (5357m/17575ft) and the rural chatains, stupas, monastries and rural communities gives the vibes of Tibetan namad/s and cultural explore.

Trekkers may see breathtaking natural scenery and go across magnificent Himalayan slopes. This course of  Gokyo valley trip begins in Lukla, where we arrive via Himalayan aircraft from Kathmandu. The hikers then go along the normal EBC routes, passing through Phakding and Namche Bazar. After acclimatizing in Namche, the trail departs from the conventional EBC trip and takes you to Dole.

We will next go via other rural villages before reaching in Machermo. After a day's respite, we'll depart Machermo for Gokyo. The trek follows the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River and traverses the renowned Ngozumpa Glacier. Gokyo village (4750m) is a picturesque community where you may observe numerous Yak herders.

After trekking to Gokyo Ri (5360m) and seeing the surroundings, you will return to Dole. Finally, you will retrace your steps and return to Namche and Lukla. After an unforgettable hiking adventure, you will travel back to Kathmandu. This fascinating adventure takes you across uncharted territory. The Gokyo Lakes are a freshwater set of lakes that is holy also called Dudh Koshi.

 DETAILS ITINERARY 

  • Day 01 : Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.) and trek to Phakding (2610m).3-4 Hours.Early morning we fly from Kathmandu to the tiny airstrip at Lukla for about 40 minutes scenic flight; you will have time to stroll around, while the guide sort and divide the load baggage to be carried by porters. Guide will manage the lunch place depending upon the time of arrival at Lukla. We then take an easy walk to Phakding village for the overnight stop and rest of the time stroll around the village for local knowledge.
     
  • Day 02 : Phakding - Namche Bazaar  (3,440m/11,283ft), 5-6 hrs walk. After breakfast we will continue up the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. When enter the National park boundary we descend and a gradual walk brings us to the suspension bridge over the Bhote-Koshi river to Jorsalle village, the last village till Namche Bazaar. Namche is a prosperous trading town and the capital of the Khumbu Region.
     
  • Day 03 : Acclimazation Day at Namche.We will spend a day in Namche Bazaar resting and allowing our bodies to become acclimatized to the altitude of (3,440m/11,283ft). You have full day leisure or visit Everest View Point hotel for wonderful panoramic view or stroll around the market, if Saturday can be seen many people in Saturday market for shopping to fulfill their daily needs and only one shopping market in the surrounding areas. Also you can visit Sherpa Museum as well a great place to learn Sherpa culture and history of mountaineering and stroll back to hotel for overnight.
     
  • Day 04 : Namche Bazar - Dhole (4040m) 5-6 Hours. After stroll around the Namche area, we follow on the gradual trail with few short up and downs overlooking magnificent view of the great giant snow peaks at Shanasa. Our trek ascents the left side to Mongla hill and continue down to Phortse Thanga. After lunch further few hours walks ascending will reach at Dole for overnight. A small place with few teahouses and enjoy your night at Dole
    .
  • Day 05 : Dhole - Machhermo (4150m) 5-6 Hours. After breakfast we climb to the scenic ridge above the Dole and the trail continues to climb along the side of the valley high above the river, crossing sandy spurs to reach Machharmo. Afternoon after reaches and refreshed visit Himalayan rescue association and overnight at the hotel.
     
  • Day 06 : Machhermo - Gokyo (4750m) 4-5 Hours. Today, we climb up to the ridge and can be seen excellent view both down the valley to Khangtega and northern part to the Cho-Oyu (8153m/26741ft). Our route descends to the river bank before beginning the climb up to the terminal moraine of the Ngazumpa glacier. Afterwards the trail levels out as it follows the valley past a second lake, known as Longponga at 4690m/15383ft. Enjoy the lake view and after an hour walk will reaches at Gokyo village on the edge of third lake.
     
  • Day 07 : Excursion Day in Gokyo, day hike to Gokyo Peak (5483m). This may have full day rest at Gokyo or have chance to explore up to the fifth lake passing another forth lake and enjoy the view. This is great place and an opportunity to view full part of Mt. Everest and Cho-Oyu. You can see the Northern part of Cho-Oyu base camp and biggest glacier of the world Ngazumpa glacier; and stroll back to hotel for overnight.
     
  • Day 08 : Trek back from Gokyo -Dhole (4040m) 6-7 Hours.Today is the eighth day of the trek and we return from Gokyo to Dole. It’s an easy downhill walk passing the second and the first lake, the bridge, terminal moraine, Machherma vertical descend till the river and then up to the ridge and finally reach Dole. The night will be spent at a lodge in Dole.
     
  • Day 09 : Dhole - Namche Bazaar (3440m.) via khumjung(3,580m/11,780ft) 6-7 Hours.Today is the ninth day of the trek and our destination is Back to Namche bazar. We first walk down through the rhododendron and birch forest to Phortse Tenga and then a steep climb up to Mong La hill. Then we walk up to Khumjung commonly known as the green valleys.and then get further down to Namche Bazar.
     
  • Day 10 : Namche Bazaar - Lukla (2886 m.) 7-8 Hours. It is a pretty easy walking back to Lukla. However having said that, hike involves little up and down hills; follow the same way we trekked at the 1st day. It will approx take 4 to 5 hours walks to reach Lukla. While you will refresh up with warm hot shower, the guide will re-confirm the flights to Kathmandu for the following day.

    Celebrate your success of the trek and enjoy the Lukla hotels and Tea houses surroundings. Lukla also have nice bars, restaurants and pubs etc. O/ N at Lukla.

  • Day 11: Fly back to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft). After an early morning flight to Kathmandu our guide transfer you to your hotel. You may have time to relax after long journey and take back your breath and rest at your hotel with ending your Himalayan trip with us. Evening, we meet again for listen your trip feedback and we will host your trek success celebration/ farewell dinner at one of the finest Nepalese restaurant at main down town Thamel.
