“Mountains draw you to a deeper place in yourself.” – Joan Bauer
The Gosainkunda Frozen Lake is a freshwater lake in Nepal's Langtang National Park, at an elevation of 4360 meters. The ruins of Shiva shrine are reported to be the enormous rock in the middle of the lake. Lord Shiva is said to have constructed Gosaikunda Lake by thrusting his Trishul (holy Trident) into a mountain in order to draw water in order to calm his burning throat after swallowing poison, in hindu beleif.
The first day involves a long steady climb to reach Chandan Bari at an altitude of about 3,200 m (10,500 ft). Laurebinayak at about 3,700 m (12,100 ft) can be reached on the second day. At this point, some trekkers choose to climb ahead to Gosaikunda, though mountain sickness concern as the ascent is rather steep. Many trekkers choose to stay at Laurebinayak, which also provides sunset and sunrise views of the Langtang and Ganesh Himal.

Gosainkunda is a stunning highland at 4380 meters that is encircled by lovely holly lakes. This location has several different genesis and creation myths. With its stunning views, this place of God is like a little piece of heaven on earth. It was fantastic pleasure to be here with Mountain Mate Trek and Tour's crew.

The owner here speaks Nepali, of course, but also English, and since he lived in Japan, he can also speak Japanese, so there was no problem in communication. Chitwan and Lantern trekking were arranged for me, but I was able to enjoy the trip at a reasonable price without being presented with exorbitant prices because I am a foreigner. If you have a chance to visit Nepal, I strongly recommend that you take advice here once. I say this because the owner is kind.
After "Giri" aka "Mountain Mate" approached us at the airport, we booked a 6-day hike over the Laurabina Pass and through the Langtang National Park. We came to him with few ideas and he gave us very good advice and our expectations of the hike were exceeded. Everything was very well organized. Unfortunately, we had to postpone the start date, which was possible without any problems, thanks again for that. The communication also worked very well and we were in close contact. Our guide "Sagar" was also super nice and loving. We felt very comfortable and in good hands and would like to recommend him expressly. Thank you so much for the great experience and we hope to see you again.
