 About Trip

Before the successful climb of Everest, the 9th British Expedition, directed by John Hunt and including Hillary, Tenzing Sherpa, and George Lowe, first explored Jiri in 1953.

Those who want to follow in Hillary and Tenzing's footsteps and climb to Everest Base Camp via Jiri trip, a small village in Nepal's eastern region, should try Everest Base Camp via Jiri trek. The Jiri path combines natural and cultural attractions in an unrivaled way.

The trek's features include varying heights, unique flora and fauna, ethnic cultures, and indigenous lifestyles. It takes you from the midlands to the Himalayas, along well-worn paths. You can take in magnificent mountain views as well as neighboring landscapes covered in rhododendron, magnolia, and alpine forests.

With its serene settings and quiet vistas, the section of the trip from Jiri to Phakding provides a relaxing experience. It entails a lot of uphill/downhill hiking as well as traveling through a plethora of towns where you may observe and mingle with the locals.

Wandering through Sagarmatha National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site), visiting Sherpa communities of Namche Bazaar and Phakding, and the amazing walk of Kala Patthar (5,545 m/18,187 ft) are some of the highlights of the Everest Base Camp journey.
