Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kathmandu to Kyirung: Your pilgrimage begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to the Nepal–Tibet border. After completing immigration formalities, meet your Tibetan guide and continue driving to Kyirung. Overnight at a local guesthouse.
  • Day 2: Acclimatization Day in Kyirung: A full rest day to adapt to the altitude. Enjoy short walks around Kyirung and observe local Tibetan life. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 3: Kyirung to Saga (4,450 m): A long but scenic drive across the Tibetan Plateau, passing nomadic settlements and yak herds. Enjoy distant views of Himalayan giants and cross the Brahmaputra River before reaching Saga. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 4: Saga – Paryang – Lake Mansarovar (4,600 m): Drive through Zhongba and Paryang before reaching the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Witness your first glimpse of Mt. Kailash near Chiu Monastery. Spend time in meditation beside the holy lake. Overnight at guesthouse.
