Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and Trek to Chutanga (2,840m → 3,020m / 9,318 ft → 9,908 ft).Your journey begins with a thrilling 35–40 minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, offering panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. From Lukla, embark on an easy uphill trek of approximately 1 hour to Chutanga. This short trek helps you start acclimatizing while taking in the lush green surroundings and distant snow-capped peaks. Overnight at Chutanga.
  • Day 02: Trek from Chutanga to Thuli Kharka (3,020m → 4,300m / 9,908 ft → 14,108 ft).A longer trekking day covering 4–5 hours, crossing approximately 10–12 km. The route takes you over the Zatrawala Pass (4,610m / 15,125 ft) with spectacular views of surrounding peaks. Thuli Kharka is a remote high-altitude campsite, perfect for your first serious acclimatization.
  • Day 03: Trek from Thuli Kharka to Kote (4,300m → 3,691m / 14,108 ft → 12,109 ft).Descend slightly to Kote, trekking 5–6 hours across valleys and ridges. The trail passes highland pastures and isolated settlements, offering a glimpse of local life. Overnight at Kote, giving your body a chance to adjust to altitude changes.
  • Day 04: Trek from Kote to Thangnak (3,691m → 4,356m / 12,109 ft → 14,291 ft).Today, you ascend gently over 4–4.5 hours, covering approximately 8–10 km. The path traverses glacial streams, moraine fields, and scattered rock formations, opening views of Mera Peak and surrounding mountains. Overnight at Thangnak.
  • Day 05: Trek from Thangnak to Khare Camp (4,356m → 5,045m / 14,291 ft → 16,551 ft).A moderate climb of 4.5 hours takes you to Khare Camp, your gateway to Mera Peak. The landscape becomes more alpine, with glaciers and rugged terrain dominating the view. Take time to rest and prepare for higher altitude challenges.
  • Day 06: Acclimatization Day at Khare (5,045m / 16,551 ft).Spend the day resting and performing short hikes around Khare to help your body adjust to high altitude. Acclimatization is crucial before attempting the summit of Mera Peak.
  • Day 07: Trek from Khare to Mera High Camp (5,045m → 5,780m / 16,551 ft → 18,963 ft).A steep 5–6 hour trek of 6–8 km leads to Mera High Camp. The terrain becomes rocky and glaciated, with breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu. Overnight at High Camp to rest before summit day.
  • Day 08: Summit Mera Peak (5,780m → 6,461m / 18,963 ft → 21,197 ft) and Return to Khare.Begin your summit attempt early morning, covering 11–12 hours of trekking and climbing. Use crampons, ropes, and guide assistance to reach the top at 6,461m, enjoying panoramic Himalayan views. Descend back to Khare Camp for overnight rest.
  • Day 09: Contingency Summit Day.This day acts as a backup for summiting Mera Peak in case of bad weather on the previous day.
  • Day 10: Trek from Khare to Seto Pokhari, Hinku Valley.Descend gradually over 5–6 hours, traversing valleys and highland landscapes. Overnight camping or lodges along the Hinku Valley.
  • Day 11: Trek to Amphu Laptsa Base Camp. A moderate trek of 5–6 hours takes you to Amphu Laptsa Base Camp. The route features glaciers, moraines, and alpine scenery, preparing you for the challenging Amphu Laptsa La pass.
  • Day 12: Trek to Chhukung via Amphu Laptsa La Pass (5,845m / 19,177 ft).A long, strenuous day of about 10 hours, crossing the Amphu Laptsa La pass. Experience stunning glacial terrain and breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks. Descend to Chhukung (4,730m / 15,518 ft) for overnight rest.
  • Day 13: Rest Day at Chhukung.Use this day for acclimatization and light exploration around Chhukung. Optional hikes to nearby viewpoints can help your body adjust to the altitude.
  • Day 14: Trek from Chhukung to Lobuche via Kongma La Pass (4,730m → 5,545m / 15,518 ft → 18,192 ft).Trek 7.7 km over 7–8 hours. Cross Kongma La Pass, a spectacular high ridge, and descend into the Khumbu Valley to reach Lobuche, preparing for the Everest Base Camp trek.
  • Day 15: Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Day Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,164m → 5,364m / 16,942 ft → 17,598 ft).Trek approximately 15 km over 7–8 hours. Reach Gorak Shep, then continue to Everest Base Camp. Enjoy iconic views of the Khumbu Glacier and surrounding giants before returning to Gorak Shep for overnight stay.
  • Day 16: Trek from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545m / 18,192 ft) and Descend to Pheriche (4,210m / 13,810 ft).Hike 13–14 km over 7 hours. Climb Kala Patthar early morning for panoramic views of Everest, then descend through Pangboche and Dingboche to Pheriche for overnight rest.
  • Day 17: Trek from Pheriche to Namche Bazaar (4,210m → 3,440m / 13,810 ft → 11,286 ft).Descend 14–15 km over approximately 7 hours, retracing your steps through beautiful valleys and villages to Namche Bazaar. Overnight stay in the Sherpa hub.
  • Day 18: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Lukla (3,440m → 2,800m / 11,286 ft → 9,184 ft).Final trekking day covering 18–19 km in around 7 hours. Return to Lukla and celebrate completing the expedition. Overnight in Lukla.
  • Day 19: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu (2,800m → 1,300m / 9,184 ft → 4,265 ft).Fly back to Kathmandu, ending your adventure. Transfer to your hotel or prepare for onward travel.
